Charlie was in a very exploratory mood yesterday during playtime. She repeatedly got down off her perch and walked across the table to look at Beth, her Social Studies book, eye glasses, and glass of water. She was quite proud of herself when she managed to climb up onto the edge of Beth's glass.

There is some sort of digging/construction going on outside today. They are making a lot of noise. There are bulldozer engines, some sort of pounding machine, men talking, and of course over and above everything dogs barking. I am pretty sure that all this nonsense is stressing Charlie out. I know it is effecting me.

I was quietly talking to her a few minutes ago, just chatting softly, trying to calm her down. I asked her if she would like me to put some music on. She looked at me with her head cocked, and then nodded slowly! Needless to say I started her favorite play list right away.
